What we are

Duluth Concrete Leveling is a local concrete lifting and leveling service for the Twin Ports and the North Shore. We raise settled and heaved slabs — driveways, aprons, sidewalks, steps, patios, garage floors and basement floors — using polyurethane foam injection and mudjacking, and we choose between the two based on the slab and the soil rather than on which one we'd rather sell.

What we're not going to pretend

This is a new business. We're not going to claim twenty years in the trade, list awards we haven't won, or post testimonials from customers who don't exist. You won't find stock photos of a team we don't have, an invented founding year, or a job counter on this site. If any of that matters more to you than the work, we're probably not your first call — and that's fair.

What we will do is show our reasoning. Every claim on this site about frost depth, freeze-thaw counts, soil behavior and cost ranges is checkable: Minnesota Rule 1303.1600 and the Zone I 5-foot frost depth, Duluth's average of 106 days a year with a below-freezing high, the roughly 42 annual freeze-thaw cycles, the 90 inches of average snowfall with snow on the ground about 137 days, the USDA "Duluth" soil series of loamy soil over firm clay till at 20–35% clay, and MnDOT's late-March spring load restrictions in the North frost zone. Why the climate framing isn't marketing

Concrete leveling in a Zone I frost county is a different job than it is in a mild climate. Method choice changes — slurry needs cure time and above-freezing conditions, foam doesn't. Season changes: with 106 sub-freezing days a year, the working window is genuinely short and scheduling matters. Diagnosis changes, because a slab that heaved and a slab that settled look similar in July and need different answers.

The other half of the job is water. A lift that ignores where the water is coming from is temporary. We seal joints on every job and we'll tell you plainly if a downspout, a grade, or a drain line is going to undo the work.

How we quote

We come look at the slab, measure the actual drop, and tell you which method fits and what it costs. If the concrete is too far gone to lift — spalled through, broken into many pieces, badly scaled from de-icing salt — we'll say replacement is the right answer even though it isn't our work.
